Hospitals: Supporting Your Graduate Nurses
Hospitals looking to support and invest in their Graduate Nurses are invited to partner with Nursingly.
Graduate nurses can participate in a group NCLEX readiness assessment, providing a cost-effective way for organizations to evaluate preparedness while still maintaining an individualized learning experience.
During the assessment, graduate nurses complete both verbal and written NCLEX-style questions that evaluate:
-Test-taking ability
-Knowledge and remote memory recall
-Critical thinking
These three components are essential for NCLEX success and safe clinical decision-making.
Graduate nurses who demonstrate readiness will receive targeted study recommendations to strengthen any remaining knowledge gaps and increase confidence before testing.
Graduate nurses who do not yet meet readiness benchmarks will receive clear guidance and structured preparation plans designed to help them successfully pass the NCLEX.
Colleges: Enhancing NCLEX Preparation
Most nursing programs provide NCLEX preparation throughout the curriculum, and the final semester often includes extensive practice questions. While practice questions are valuable, research shows that learning occurs most effectively when students actively engage with concepts rather than simply completing large volumes of questions without guided feedback or reflection.
Studies in nursing education indicate that active learning strategies and guided clinical reasoning development produce stronger outcomes than passive testing alone (Benner, Sutphen, Leonard, & Day, 2010; NCSBN, 2023).
Many students have already maximized the benefit of the single NCLEX preparation resource used within their program by the time they graduate. Continuing to rely solely on the same resource may not produce additional learning gains.
Just as you would not invest all financial resources into one stock, it is not ideal to invest a student's entire NCLEX preparation into one resource or approach.
Partnering with Nursingly provides an additional perspective and assessment model that evaluates:
-Knowledge
-Test-taking ability
-Critical thinking
-Teachability and readiness
This approach allows programs to identify students who are truly ready for NCLEX and those who may need targeted intervention before testing.
